The 35-unit mixed use apartment building on a busy corner near downtown Seattle. The design includes retail and live/work spaces at street level and an underground parking garage. The project is incorporated into an existing, urban, residential neighborhood that is adjacent to the Seattle Center. The exterior features brick, protruding windows, inset balconies with brick guardrails, and large protecting flat roof overhangs. Along the west facade at street level an open loggia provides a semi-public transition space between the street and the apartment lobby. The project is designed to Built Green and Built Smart environmental standards and will include photovoltaic solar cells on the roof to assist in powering the public spaces.
